Help Us Help Critter
Updated: Jan 13, 2019
Update on little Critter. He went in for his neuter, and dental today. They pulled 12 teeth and said he already had 7 missing. He's doing great, home resting. Thank you all for your puppy prayers, good wishes, and donations for this little guy. When he is healed from this we will take him in to have a surgeon look at his leg. Will update when we have those results back in.
My name is Critter, this hasn't always been my name but I was lost on the streets and found by a good Samaritan. She took me into her house and thought maybe I had a broken leg. She called AARF Animal Rescue and they immediately took me to the vet, and soon gave me my new name. I was really matted up, very thin, scared, and confused. The vet shaved some of the matts off my legs and tail because they were also filled with stickers. I felt a little better. They also told the rescue that my leg wasn't broken but I have a severe luxating patella and may need surgery, I also have extreme gum disease and will need to have some of my teeth removed because the only thing holding them in was all the plaque build up. The vet thinks I'm about 10 years old and I am also not neutered, and may be a little deaf.
AARF Animal Rescue has made an appointment for me to be groomed, so I'll feel better, and to be neutered and have my teeth cleaned and pulled. They will also have my leg checked out by a surgeon and see if anything can be done about it to help me walk better. These things will be pretty expensive and so I'm asking that if you would like to donate to help get me back to good health, so I can be adopted, you can send a payment directly to High Country Pet Clinic, or mail a check to AARF Animal Rescue, 6639 S Country Rd. Mayer, AZ 86333. Make sure you note that it's for Critter, any amount will help. Thank you from me and all the volunteers and staff at the rescue.
